Thomas Cook Airlines Flying Into Orlando International Airport

Updated: 06 May 2013: 02:02 AM

Beginning in April 2014, Thomas Cook Airlines will be transferring all their Florida bound flights to Orlando International airport.

Thomas Cook recently released a holiday brochure indicating this move will provide faster transfer times to all the main tourist locations of International Drive, Walt Disney World, and Kissimmee Villas.

Their UK airline currently serves Orlando from Glasgow Abbotsinch International, London Gatwick, and Manchester.

Orlando International Airport

Orlando International is the 13th busiest airport in the United States and the 29th busiest airport in the world based on passenger traffic.

The airport services the greater Orlando area and the largest major airport near Disney World.

This new change beginning in 2014 will make it easier for overseas tourists to get to their favorite dream destinations quicker.

MCO is 45 miles closer to the areas attractions than Sanford International airport.

You'll also save a $100 on return airport transfers.

Facilities

The airport consists of a hub-and-spoke layout with a large main terminal and four concourses and an elevated tram system provides easy access for passengers to all areas of the airport.

In addition, there are passenger check-in and baggage claim facilities on both Terminal A’s North side and Terminal B’s South side, with two shared security checkpoints.

An interesting feature at this airport is the on-site Hyatt Regency hotel located within the main terminal structure, making it convenient for tourists to eliminate the need for transportation from a hotel to the airport when getting ready to depart from Florida, not to mention that little bit of extra sleep before flying out after an exciting vacation in Florida.
